"I look out over the land and water,

my cat sitting beside me, over.

Mob cap's got PvE in an uproar,

Frustration runs rampant among the player core,

But til a solution calms it down,

I'll take my blocks and build a town,

Never a war at hand,

for even now, peace rules the land."
buzzie71 singing of his desire to build Mahri Nui

Mahri Nui is buzzie71's underwater dwelling in the giant lake (known to some as Lake Bigass), named after the sunken village in the BIONICLE storyline of the same name. Its most notable feature is the outgoing EATS track connecting to the rail tunnel between UMC/Spawn and Port 80/Port Aperture.

History

Prior to the serious groundbreaking work, buzzie71 lived his life as a carefree, adventuring mortal camping in his humble underground home. He had kept a few animals nearby, including six chickens and two stationary cows (outside, generated with the terrain; they did not ever move from their places), crafting lots of cake and then wandering the map to give them to other players. During this time, he had an idea of building an underwater settlement, but it was never really implemented.

The mob cap that was put into place soon eliminated all of buzzie71's animals except, strangely, for his pet cat. After the usual rage, buzzie71 gave up attempting to regain his animals, and moved forward with the build.

The service tunnel was built first, followed by the main chamber at the end of the tunnel. The farm was constructed next, and after that, the transit station. The original idea called simply for rails to bring a rider close to the existing main lines, but the outgoing rail was scrapped in favor of an EATS track in honor of an admin whose server he played on before.

To date, the residential area has been completed, but only one habitable room exists. Though the announcing of the rev's end date forced major downscaling of plans, the concept of an underwater dwelling has been proven, and buzzie71 looks forward to building underwater once again next rev.
