* ok made "not asking" a quote and commented a disclaimer into the html file. also added the usual follow up question "Really?" and the answer from above to that with minor editing. [[User:Yagi takeru|Yagi takeru]] 19:22, 30 September 2011 (CDT)

** Thank you. I've slightly re-worded it, and removed the attribution to marting11, since it wasn't really an official policy, just a response to another user I spotted in chat. Left the comment in, though. I don't want to bug an admin about it, but maybe an "official" FAQ entry for this could be better worded by one of them. Just finished a huge edit to the FAQ section

i was thinking though should we add the so common "can i be a moderator/admin?" question and tag it with a definitive answer?

  • Good idea. I'm not sure what the definitive answer is, other than "No." Any idea on wording? The best I can think of is "Moderators are chosen from a small, trusted group of long-time contributors." I don't know how the nomination process works for certain, though. • I added a section about this based on an answer given in chat by marting11 Mike acosta 18:15, 30 September 2011 (CDT)
